Terms of Service

Effective date: 9 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of EUDR Scope at eudrscope.com and your purchase of the report we provide (a screening position report for the EU Deforestation Regulation (2023/1115)). By using this site or buying a report, you agree to these Terms.

1. What you are buying

EUDR Scope sells a one-time screening report, priced by market (from €49; the exact price is shown at checkout). The report screens the products and details you supply against Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 and its implementing texts, and presents the position they imply — scope, your role in the chain, which deadline applies, and origin-country risk tiers — with supplier data-request letters.

2. The report is a screening — not legal advice, and not a deforestation assessment

The report is provided for general informational purposes only. It is a screening of your answers against the regulation, not a professional service, and it is not — and must not be relied on as — legal, regulatory, customs, or compliance advice. It does not create any professional-client relationship and is not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel or a licensed customs or compliance professional reviewing your specific situation.

The report is also not a deforestation assessment. It determines your obligations under the regulation — scope, role, deadline, documentary duties. It does not, and cannot, verify that your goods came from land not deforested or degraded after 31 December 2020. That determination depends on your supplier evidence, plot geolocation and satellite screening, and remains your responsibility. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and you should consult an appropriately qualified professional and confirm your position against the current legal texts before acting on anything in the report.

3. No warranty

The report and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. EUDR is a live rulebook — a delegated act on product scope is pending and a country-benchmarking review is due in 2026 — and the regulation, guidance and classifications may change after your report is issued. We do not warrant that the report is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EUDR Scope, its operators, and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site or the report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the report or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the report.

5. Refunds

Because the report is a digital product delivered promptly, refunds are provided for delivery failure — for example, if you paid but did not receive your report, or the report could not be generated for the details you supplied. If your report failed to arrive or cannot be produced, email hello@eudrscope.com and we will re-deliver it or refund your purchase. If you believe a specific determination in your report is wrong, contact us — we will investigate and, where a delivery or generation fault is on our side, make it right.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: resell, republish, or redistribute the report as your own product; scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the site; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure; or use the site or report for any unlawful purpose. The report is licensed to you for your own internal business use.

7. Intellectual property

The site, its design, its text, and the report format are owned by EUDR Scope and protected by intellectual-property laws. The underlying EU legal texts referenced in the report belong to their respective sources. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the report you purchase for your own purposes.

8. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Analytics are provided by Fathom Analytics. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services, though we choose them with your privacy in mind (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Not affiliated with the EU

EUDR Scope is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the European Union, the European Commission, or any competent authority.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the state in which the operator of EUDR Scope is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought in the courts located there.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
